Sign Permits
(1) It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to erect, alter, repair, or relocate any sign within the City of Easton without first obtaining a sign permit, unless the sign is specifically exempt from the permit requirements.

(2) In order to apply for a sign permit, the applicant must provide the following information to the City of Easton:
(a) Name, address, e-mail, and telephone number of applicant.
(b) Name, address, e-mail, and telephone number of the property owner, and the signature of the property owner or duly authorized agent for the owner.
(c) Description of any existing signage that will remain on the site.
(d) Identification of the type of sign(s) to be erected by the applicant.
(e) Location of the lot, building, and proposed sign in relation to each public right-of-way, building, and driveway.
(f) The design of each sign face and sign structure, including dimensions, total area, sign height, depth, color scheme, structural details, materials, lighting scheme and proposed location.
(g) A permit fee shall be paid.

(3) Each owner and applicant (if different than owner) shall be required as a continuing condition of any permit issued under this section, to provide the City of Easton with written notice of a change of address within 14 days of such a change, to be sent to both the Zoning Officer of the City of Easton and the Director of Finance of the City of Easton. Failure to comply with this requirement is considered grounds for revocation of the permit. Moreover, each owner and applicant, by acceptance of the permit, agrees that if a notice is returned because the party is no longer at that address, or otherwise is not signed for, the service requirement is satisfied if the City mails a notice by first class mail to the last address provided to the City, as well as posting the notice upon the property subject to the permit.
